Last year Simon's company upgraded our battery system to an AI-managed "Sigenstor" capable of providing 24kWh of storage. The system has been fabulous with the AI ensuring that when our solar panels were not up to it and we needed to draw energy from the grid into the batteries, it did so at the half-price rate, 95% of the time. We've now just had a further 16kWh of storage added which, with electricity as our sole energy utility, will hopefully get our old barn and cottage through a family and friends-filled winter at the lowest cost. Plus the "Gateway" unit ensures that should there be a power outage, then as long as we've got energy stored, our power will stay on. As ever, the work was done in an efficient, friendly and tidy manner and at a very competitive price. Thank you guys! ~ mark e

I recently decided to get solar panels. I then happened to run into Lewis Annear at Truro Golf Club. This company is a local businesses and I’m going to say they were the most professional business I’ve ever dealt with. From start to finish they were very informative. They knew exactly what I needed and were very helpful advising me of my options. The measuring up and fitting all went without an hitch. Everyone from the scaffolding team to the fitters were professional and courteous from start to finish. I was surprised at how affordable it was and I glad that I chose Simon Annear Solars. Simon Annear ltd came to replace my existing heat pump, circa 14 years old with a new system. The initial quote was very competitive and with the system they use there is a 7 year warranty and an annual service as per their monthly plan (£15 for piece of mind and knowing they will call out if anything goes wrong is good compared to our previous heat pump company) The process of installing the new system and taking away the old one was smooth. The installation only took a few days. The new system Appears much more efficient, much quieter and looks much neater in our garden. There is only one inside tank compared to 2 on our old system. Overall I am very pleased with the Vaillant heat pump 9 months down the line. ~ Stuart G

We’ve recently had Simon Annear’s team update our heating & hot water systems, although our house is 20 years old we have underfloor heating, solar thermal panels, photovoltaic panels and a LPG Boiler. Steven Westen the Technical Director visited our home and recommended a number of upgrades to improve energy consumption and the overall efficiency of the system, Simons team arrived on time and completed the work to a high standard. As a tradesman myself I’d had a number of quotations for the upgrades but it was the technical knowledge shown by Simon Annear’s team that impressed me and the reason I instructed them to undertake the upgrades. I contacted Simon Annears for a quote to install a solar and battery storage system at my home. From the first call to completion the service was excellent and nothing was too much bother. I experienced great communication during and after completion of the works and still get a response to any questions now. We had a complete new heating system installed with an Air Source Heat Pump in November last year. Initially, it took us some time to get used to the difference from our old oil boiler but Chris, the engineer who installed this gave us some very useful advice and four months on we are very pleased with the result. The customer service from Simon Annear was excellent as was the quality of the work, flexibility to work at short notice around our builders and the finished product. We had a 6.6kW solar array with around 16kW batteries and a 10kW Vaillant Arotherm heat pump installed by Simon Annear in September 2023. The introduction and design process was well managed and the installation was quick and efficient. Dates for installation were agreed and kept to. The heating / plumbing and electrical design work was well thought through and this resulted in tidy working practice and a very neat installation. The existing plumbing and heating which was slightly complicated was simplified and converted onto mains supply. Very happy to recommend this company. ~ Richard B

Had a new boiler and gas pipe installed recently which involved bedroom floors being lifted and wasn’t straight forward. We had air source solar and battery all fitted by this company and they are professional and courteous. When you buy a system like this, it’s not only the equipment and the fitting of it, but the after sales service which you should buy into. The engineers are absolutely brilliant. The lady who answers the phone and arranges the engineer’s visit is also brilliant. The invoicing is complicated when you have a service plan and it has taken us some time, with the Services and Breakdowns Manager, to get from the original invoice to the correct amount. Having said that - we have managed to come to a satisfactory resolution and the Services and Breakdowns Manager has been very helpful at what is a very busy time of the year for the heating services. ~ Susan W

Simon Annear installed an air source heat pump in my house last year. The team were so professional. The quote was detailed and site specific, with each room individually assessed and only two radiators needing to be replaced. Other companies just assumed all needed replacing which had a huge impact on the quote. The system was installed within a few days and all on the team worked tidily and efficiently. I want to offer a personal note of thanks to Lisa, Steven, Lewis and the team for prioritising my elderly mum this winter. Her 21-year old air source heat pump packed up without warning during a cold snap so she needed a completely new unit. We were of course worried about the temperature in her house (especially at night), but she stayed with family over the weekend and Simon Annear managed to get the replacement unit shipped and installed within 3 days. We had Dan visit Crofthandy Hall in early Feb; arrived early and scoped the place within 30mins, quote emailed to us within the hour (at a competitive rate) and the install took place about 6 weeks later which was way before our expectations. I am very pleased with my heat pump and I appreciated the knowledge of Simon Annear’s sales team and installers. Other fitters tried to get us to replace all our central heating pipes/radiators when we actually only needed one radiator replaced (we were expecting this). The house feels cosy and is costing very little to heat compared to our old LPG system. The Vaillant app is great for tracking usage and it is running really efficiently. ~ George C

The company have been extremely professional from initiation to commission. Of the Valliant 10kw HSP system. Furthermore and most importantly after a couple of inevitable teething problems, their after care support is second to none, they have come out same day and within a few hours of a phone call.
